Keepin It Reel Sportfishing is a premier charter fishing boat on the Hudson River. We are a Hudson River Striped Bass Charter Fishing boat located in Poughkeepsie, New York. We fish the Hudson River from Croton, New York all the way north to Kingston, New York. In between we fish some famous areas that are known to hold and produce trophy striped bass! Some of these famous Striped Bass Fishing areas on the Hudson River are the Esopus Flats, Newburgh Bay, Black Creek, and Roundout Creek. If those areas are not seeing the type of trophy class striped bass we are looking for we use our high end electronics to find where the fish are. When you are striped bass fishing on the Hudson River with Keepin It Reel you will be using top of the line custom made rods by Crafty One Customs in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Each rod is paired with a high end shimano reel that we service regularly. Here at Keepin It Reel we only use Live Bait when fishing for striped bass on the Hudson River. We use Live Herring, Blood worms, Sand worms, and sometimes eels.

One of the nicest features about fishing the Hudson River for Striped Bass in the spring is that for the most part the water is very calm and the boat ride to the fishing grounds is often only a few minutes.
